Health and Wellbeing Day at The Arbours Primary Academy
On December 2nd, The Arbours Primary Academy celebrated Health and Wellbeing Day with the help of the DRET Sport Team. Year 1 and Year 2 students took part in a variety of fun and educational activities focused on healthy living.
The day began with a 5 a Day presentation, where children learned about the importance of eating a colorful range of fruits and vegetables. The session highlighted how different food colors contribute to good health.
In the afternoon, Year 1 explored personal hygiene, focusing on teeth brushing and handwashing. A hands-on germ test experiment helped the children understand the importance of washing hands properly.
The day ended with a PE Celebration Assembly, where the DRET Sport Trust mascot, Horizon, joined the children to celebrate their achievements in physical education.
Health and Wellbeing Day was a huge success, with the students engaging in activities that promoted healthy eating, hygiene, and fitness. Well done to Year 1 and Year 2 for their enthusiasm and participation!
