Pupil Premium and Sports Funding Information and Reports

The Government provides academies and schools with additional funding to help reduce inequalities and gaps in attainment between those students who are on free school meals (FSM) and their peers. This funding is called the Pupil Premium.

The Government also provides academies and schools with funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. This means that the premium should develop or add to the PE and sport activities that we already offer or to make improvements that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.  This funding is called Sport Premium.

Every academy and school can select how they choose to use their allocations assesssing what additional provision should be made for students. Every school needs to be held accountable for how this money is spent and this is displayed here on our website.

Pupil Premium Funding for the academic year 2017-2018 is £195,460

It is the school’s intention to continue with many of the successful actions and interventions developed.

The money will be used on intervention teaching, improving chances, improving engagement, improving attendance and additional support.

To read our full pupil premium breakdown outlining how the money will be spent please download the document on the left-hand side of the page.
